Our Client was founded in the early 1980’s, and provides personal banking services and investments to consumers and small to medium-sized businesses throughout Texas and Oklahoma. They rank among the top 100 U.S. banks. Our Client is a $40+ billion Houston, Texas-based regional financial holding company, and currently operates over 200 locations offering a full suite of financial services including Online & Mobile Banking, Investment Services, Small Business (SBA) and Commercial Loans, Mortgage Services, Retail Brokerage Services, Cash Management, as well as traditional consumer services.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

The Commercial Lender is responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of value added solutions to Our Clients’ customers and prospects that will help them reach their goals over the life of the relationship.

This position requires a fully experienced, qualified relationship manager capable of independent activity. This position requires proven client relationship skills, as well as extensive product knowledge, technical expertise and strong transaction execution skills. Credit process management is a critical component of this role.

Performance will be measured by effectiveness in many marketing areas, including but not limited to: calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, ability to build successful relationships, and propensity to help build the franchise for the long term. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years direct commercial lending or commercial credit support related experience with focus on business relationships

  • Familiarity of the sales, loan processing and closing processes

  • Formally credit trained and /or underwriting knowledge and experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services

  • Strong ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross sell bank products.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and business development skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in banking/finance or other related field is preferred

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary:  $100-150K (could be higher if the candidate can bring several customers)
