CLIENT OVERVIEW
Our Client is the largest manufacturer of their product in the United States and it was founded in 1895. Since the construction of a new facility in 1998 most of their production has been automated.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Finished Goods Planner will be working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment to develop, plan and execute purchases of finished goods with third party manufacturers. Collaborates with factories on capacity analysis and constraints management. Monitor progress of orders, keep track of deadlines, adjusts plans as needed. Frequent collaboration with the sales team & Customer Service on volume and timing inputs. Be an integral part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Import planning of finished goods as part of the business S&OP process.
Facilitate the placement of import orders with the pertinent factory, provide all details at SKU level.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Release periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) progress reports to sales/customer service/customers
Work closely with sales/customer service to balance needs and adjust orders
Request updated ocean rates and transit times from freight forwarders.
Lead Logistics of importing finished goods, including but not limited to obtaining competitive ocean freight rates, tracking progress of containers, communicating delays, processing necessary paperwork.
Be an integral part of sample process and show season preparation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
5 – 10 years experience in a related role preferred
Associates degree in Business, Management or related field.
COMPENSATION
Base Salary: $50-55 K
