Their staff of engineers, service technicians, and training professionals work hand-in-hand with their customers and local partners to provide personal training, start-up, and aftermarket support.
POSITION SUMMARY
Our Client is currently seeking to add an International Sales Engineer to their team! The International Sales Engineer is responsible for sales, maintenance, presentation, demonstration, and transportation of Our Client’s product lines to potential customers on a day-to-day basis in Latin America & Caribbean. They will also complete all dealer development processes when applicable. The perfect candidate must possess strong sales skills, computer skills, marketing, and business processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Development
Maintain the dealer network in both Latin America and Caribbean via a continuous, rolling schedule of Dealer visitation, training, sales assistance, and relationship building. Strive for continuous positive development of the Dealer corps through value-added performance appraisals and reviews
Quote preparation
Customer Specification Review
Customer Demonstration Planning / Logistics
Continuous acquisition and cataloguing of competitive data; coordination of said intelligence with Our Client’s Sales team and Senior Management
Transport units as needed based on product requirements
Independently provide demonstrations to customers; at times may be accompanied by Our Client’s Dealer sales personnel. Capable of working effectively in an unsupervised sales environment
Provide unit training to customers as needed
Maintain Our Client’s Demonstration Units – ensure mechanically safe and fully operational
Prepare product for demonstration – clean inside and out, complete with necessary tools
Assist with arrangement, setup, and execution of Trade Shows
Road Warrior; extensive international travel is required
Ensure travel expenditures are within corporate guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Bilingual in Spanish and English. Must speak and write Spanish fluently
BA or BS degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of sales experience in equipment / heavy machinery market preferred
Experience operating and/or demonstrating equipment preferred
Commercial Drivers License and maintain CDL Capability is desired
