POSITION SUMMARY
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimizing supply chain performance? Our Client, a leading innovator in industrial vacuum and water treatment systems, seeks a Procurement Manager to lead a team of purchasing professionals. You’ll oversee procurement strategies, drive supplier relationships, and ensure our components are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.
As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and management of materials, components, and equipment required for our manufacturing operations. You and your team will work closely with suppliers, internal departments, and senior management to ensure procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute procurement strategies that support manufacturing operations and business objectives.
Source and evaluate suppliers for manufacturing equipment, components, and materials, ensuring high quality and competitive pricing.
Negotiate contracts and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
Monitor market trends, supply chain conditions, and raw material pricing to manage risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality control teams to ensure purchased materials and equipment meet technical and safety requirements.
Manage inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries to meet production schedules.
Optimize the procurement process to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance supplier relationships.
Develop and maintain a supplier performance evaluation system, ensuring continuous improvement.
Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management, including cost analyses, supplier performance metrics, and risk assessments.
Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure compliance in all purchasing activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
4-6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably with exposure to hydraulic, water, or vacuum systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, mitigate risks, and drive operational improvements.
Excellent computer skills with experience in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
