Our client has been focusing on the environment and sustainability for over 40 years and those principles are the foundation of Our Client’s livelihood and business. They have provided products and systems that tackle some of the toughest infrastructure, maintenance, and clean-up challenges in the world. From the largest metropolitan city to the most critical power plant, our client’s products work behind the scenes maintaining the infrastructure, improving air quality, non-destructively excavating, recycling, cleaning, and maintaining the environment.
At the heart of every product of our client is innovation based on hands-on experience. They make it their business to know the application as well as the engineering and manufacturing of their products. Their staff of engineers, service technicians, and training professionals work hand-in-hand with their customers and local partners to provide personal training, start-up, and aftermarket support.
POSITION SUMMARY
The President is responsible for the overall direction and management of Our Client’s company. They will be responsible for setting strategy, overseeing operations, and maintaining customer and distributor relationships. The President must have strong business acumen and be able to lead a team.
The President is also responsible for ensuring that Our Client meets all its financial obligations and complies with all legal mandates. In addition, the President is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures and supervising the work of the company's employees.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides strategic direction to the business under the guidance of the Owner/CEO and Board of Directors.
Decides on investment options and recommends these to the Owner/CEO for approval.
Mobilizes all stakeholders to support the vision and mission of the organization.
Develops specific strategies to ensure the long-term viability and sustainability of the organization.
Craft strategies to retain and attract the best talent available on the market.
Develops succession plans to support all critical roles within the business.
Develops risk models to support all the value chains within the business.
Craft strategies to support the social responsibility interventions undertaken by the business.
Develops and sustains an organizational culture that supports the long-term strategy of the business.
Develops and builds sustainable internal systems and policies that can withstand external transitory shocks.
Ensures that the organization is at the forefront of leveraging digital technologies to support the business strategy.
Ensures that the organization complies in full with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Ensures that the business operates as a responsible citizen.
Mobilizes and ensures adequate funding for all business activities of the organization.
Makes an effort to understand the needs of critical stakeholders and devises strategies to ensure the needs are met to advance the organization's vision and mission.
Develops and adheres to corporate governance best practices.
Develops strategies to grow the business sustainability.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Ideally the candidate will have an undergraduate degree in engineering
Would prefer that the President have a completed MBA
Must Have 10-15 years of leadership experience in the machinery manufacturing/”body building” category
The candidate has to know ‘big trucks”, an/or “big machinery” and drive-trains
The candidate will have a “sales” oriented bent to their personality and be an exceptional communicator—be the Voice of the Company
This candidate has to have negotiation experience
This candidate will have comfort and experience with M&A
Candidate will have to travel approximately 30% of the time
Must Be Willing to relocate to Our Client’s location in SE Ohio
